Dear Seven Lakes FFA Parents and Students,
On behalf of the Seven Lakes FFA Booster Club Officer Team, we would like to welcome you to our Seven Lakes FFA Chapter! We are looking forward to another amazing year! Whether you are a new member or a returning member, we hope you ready for the many opportunities and successes that await the Seven Lakes FFA students!
By enrolling in an Agriculture Science class and becoming a member of the Seven Lakes FFA, your student has taken the first step in learning leadership, responsibility, and creating values which they will carry with them throughout life. As the year progresses, you will watch your student gain self confidence, leadership amongst his/her peers and a commitment level that is second to none. Your student will compete in Leadership Development Contests (LDE’s), Career Development Contests (CDE’s), and maybe even in the show ring. You will bear witness to the pride of accomplishments as your child puts on that blue and gold jacket for the first time and walks out of the house in “official dress.” If you are not familiar with the FFA, We invite you to visit the following websites to see what the program can and has done for its members. While it is actually our Ag Advisors and Students who do the hard work, our Seven Lakes FFA Booster Club provides the support needed to help the Seven Lakes FFA chapter accomplish their goals. Whether we are cleaning the barn, cheering the kids on in the show ring or packed and ready for a 3 day trip with their team; we are there to make sure our students and Ag Advisors have the tools they need to achieve their goals and we strive to support their success in the ring, on the road and in the classroom. Through our fundraising efforts and donations, we are able to:
• Provide meals for our various event (“Kick Off” Meeting and LDE Showcase, End of Year Banquet, etc)
• Purchase barn supplies/equipment
• Provide the tent and food for the Katy Livestock Show
• Support Miss Beth’s “Pay it Forward” Fundraiser
• Charter Bus for the 3-Day CDE Judging Trip
• Banquet Awards
• Scholarships for our Outstanding Graduating Seniors
• Misc. costs with conventions, conferences, etc.
We could not do any of this without the support of our Ag Advisors and our FFA Booster Club Members. We will work together with this thought in mind…..“Be ExtraOrdinary”. We invite each of you to join the Seven Lakes FFA Booster Club and be a part of the journey embarked upon by your FFA student. If you have questions or need more information.
